Artist Bio

Sam is a mixed media artist, drawing on life experiences and years of creative training. Through a personal evolution of mind and practice, she evokes the subjective experiences of her memory and visually responds to this emotive event. 

 

With her own childhood being interrupted by the fragility of life, she explores themes of loss, memory and identity in her work. Sams process of visualising memory evocation is currently the subject of her PhD.

 

Sam is a practitioner, researcher and keen educator with a deep belief that creative practice should be integral to child development. The promotion of art as a vocational and academic choice is intrinsic to Sams philosophy.
